Dr. Schelmck is partner since 2004 at OTC Asset Management, in charge of investments in Life Sciences. OTC Asset Management is managing €250 million to be invested in French and European innovative companies. Dr Schmelck has 10 years of medical practice in Paris hospitals as a Paediatrician and of academic research at INSERM in biochemistry and molecular biology; 10 years of pharmaceutical R&D with Sanofi (now Sanofi-Aventis) as head of the biotechnology group research activity involved in pharmaceutical, chemical and agbio businesses; and 10 years of merchant bank activities in Life Sciences including fundraising, M A business and venture capital investment.

Dr Schmelck was a founder and CEO of PrimeBioTech, a French gene therapy company engaged in developing treatments for genetic diseases.
